Wicked Grounds is San Francisco's first and only kink cafe and boutique. We have a full cafe & kink boutique in the old leather district in San Francisco, and host a wide variety of BDSM, LGBTQ, and related sex-positive events, including workshops, classes, social gatherings, munches and our own KINK 101 education series. We also do outreach & vending at local conventions, street fairs, and playspaces.

You are here, a member of this group, because you value our work in the world. Thank you for that.
We want to keep making safe spaces like Wicked Grounds available to folks here in SF, folks from around the world for their yearly visits, and also to folks that can't join us in SF but can keep up with what we're doing from anywhere via podcasts, video classes, and other content.

That's where you come in. If you're one of the hundreds of people who hasn't yet subscribed to our Patreon, we'd like you to do that right now

What's happening on Patreon?

Our mission has always been to build kink community & education. Coffee's just the way we make that happen here in San Francisco.

Now, we want to bring our 'kink concierge' services to folks everywhere. So far, we've launched an online advice column, a series of other kink articles, and have re-launched a Wicked Grounds podcast -- all due to the generous support of our Patreon subscribers. Your support has also allowed us to increase our outreach at conferences and events. So far this year, we've returned to Oakland Pride and are planning to go to Convolution, and we'll be at the Northwest Leather Celebration in Sacramento next year, in addition to the many street fairs and conventions already in our plans.

When you sign up as a supporter at any level on Patreon, you'll be able to keep up with what we're doing from anywhere in the world. Starting at $5/month, you'll get unlimited access to our online classes, and we have great swag (and bragging rights) for higher subscription levels. Your support helps us grow here in San Francisco and beyond!

How can I participate?

- Subscribe at the level that feels right and sustainable for you
- Help us spread the word
- Send us your questions! You can get your questions answered in future classes and advice columns
- Keep letting us know that YOU need to keep building kink community wherever you are.

Thank you for being YOU, dear kinksters! And thank you for helping us bring our brand of coffee, kink and community to a much larger audience.

xoxo
The folks of Wicked Grounds

Community Profile: Dirty Talk Game Show

We've long wanted to launch a Community Profile column as part of our Patreon content, and are delighted to start out with a short Q & A with Psychokitty about his Dirty Talk Game Show, hosted at DNA Lounge in SOMA, SF.

(Full disclosure: Wicked Grounds has been a sponsor of the Dirty Talk Game Show since its inception, and we provide prizes and goodies for each participant.)

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us today!

Tell us about the Dirty Talk Game Show. How did you get started, and what happens at the show?

We started Dirty Talk Game Show a few years ago at [the San Francisco kink conference] Dark Odyssey: Surrender as an audience participation game show. Our first panelists were Midori, Eve Minax, Lee Harrington and Greydancer. Panelists are given a naughty phrase, and they have to talk about it for 60 seconds without hesitation, deviation or repetition. They can say the word in a phrase, but if they say something else like “penis” more than one time, the other participants can buzz in and get a point. So, this can create a fun and naughty game, and the audience is generally the winner.
Where is the show hosted now?

We moved to the DNA Lounge last year. It’s been a welcoming space with enough room and resources to give our audience all the goods.

You mentioned that this is an audience participation show. How does the audience get involved?

There is an audience round – an amuse bouche with questions from three brave souls in the audience. The audience also gets to predict who will win, and one audience member who guesses correctly will get a prize. And most importantly, if there’s any question about a point, the audience gets to award it.

Sounds like a lot of fun. What do you have planned for the next show?

Coming back to try to win the tiara for the Filthiest Mouth of San Francisco this week is the formidable Rain DeGrey, the sex educator and porn star. Rain will face competition from the wondrous burlesque artist Tease Blossom,  and the amazing Zev Ubu, a former Wicked Grounds barista turned hairstylist to the fabulous. (And a special fourth guest, to be announced!)

What else should we know about the Dirty Talk Game Show that I haven’t asked about?

One of the reasons I do this show, is that it creates a sex-positive space. And that creates a sex positive culture by providing a playful space to talk about sex. That’s really important to me and I love sharing this with the community. We'd love to see you there!

You can see the next Dirty Talk Game Show at DNA Lounge this Saturday, Feb 24th. Doors are at 7pm, show stars at 7:15. Admission is only $15 dollars, and be sure to get great drinks from your friendly DNA bartenders!

This week at Wicked Grounds, join us for the triumphant return of Bring Your Human Animal Night, events for those in a state of kinky entrepreneurship, and much, much more!

* Friday, February 18th: We will be vending at Mystique, SF Citadel’s premiere dungeon event for female and nonbinary tops.

* Saturday, February 17th: Knitted bondage? Paper mache pasties? Whatever you’re making, we’d like to see it at Kinky & Crafty from 4-6pm. Any craft is welcome at this casual social event. Feel free to drop by with your projects at any point during the munch!

* Sunday, February 18th: Bring Your Human Animal Night has been adopted by the SF K9 Unit! This a pansexual, gender-inclusive event for all types of human pets: puppies, kitties, wolves, fawns, mice, ponies, handlers, trainers, human pet owners, and every other type of pet player imaginable. Come roughhouse in the back room, get your drink in a dog bowl, and bork your heart out! Please remember that, as a food service provider, Wicked Grounds cannot legally allow actual non-human attendees, with the exception of service animals.

* Monday, February 19th: Interested in Foundations SF tonight at Catalyst? Stop by the Foundations Office Hours from 5:30-6:30 to meet a sponsor and learn more about Foundations. Look for the folks in the red foundations shirts and/or leather vests, and feel free to ask a barista if you have trouble locating your kinky guides! The Poly Under 40 Coffeehouse Social will be meeting in the back from 7-9:30pm. They welcome poly and nonmonogamous people (new, curious, or experienced) under 40 years of age, as well as the 40-and-over partners and lovers of people under 40, though they do ask that you attend on the same evening as your under-40 partner.

* Tuesday, February 20th:  The Kinky Entrepreneur’s Munch will be meeting from 11am-1pm to talk about... whatever you want! Questions? Concerns, as a new kinky or kink-adjacent business owner? Stop by and hang out! Immediately afterwards, the Kinky Entrepreneurs Co-Working Hours will be meeting from 1-5pm to provide a space for productive work with like-minded kinksters. Come learn more about BAKBA (Bay Area Kinky Business Alliance) and get shit done! (You don’t need to be in BAKBA to participate in this event.) In the evening, the Bay Area Rope Club (BARC) will be hosting their weekly Tuesday meetup from 6-7pm. BARC is a combination of skillshare, presentations, play-time, & social goodness, and a great place to get started with rope, or develop pre-existing skills! They will be hosting the not-at-Wicked-Grounds part of this event at a new location, please note the new address, and cost in the link above. The SoJ Mentorship Social will be meeting in the back room from 7:30-9:30pm. Join mentors from the Society of Janus to help you on your kink journey!

* Wednesday, February 21th: WELCOME TO SISSY NIGHT! Crossdressers, sissies, maids, cosplayers, trans and gender-bending folks of all kinds are welcome to join us from 8-10pm, and the focus will be on the feminine and ultra-feminine! Dominants and supporters who enjoy sissy energy also invited. Costuming is welcome! Please dress up! For those of you who need a place to change, please respect that the cafe only has one bathroom, and keep in mind that as long as you keep your genitals and feet covered, the dress code here is very lax. Planning on attending BaGG: Femme Dom Night? Spend $10 or more on food and drink at the cafe to get reduced entry to Cat Club! Just as your helpful barista for a stamped BaGG receipt.

* Thursday, February 22nd: The Shy: Unsocial Social, meeting from 8-9:30pm, is a community and space for those with social anxiety and/or shyness to support one another, especially those that also identify as kinky and/or poly. Our goal is not to “fix” anyone. Some people are happy being reserved and observing, but would still like a sense of community and support. Others maybe are hoping to gain more confidence or skills to work past the anxiety. Some might just like to get out of the house and be with others who truly understand how hard it can be to interact with the world around you. All types are welcome. The structure of the event is flexible and will adapt to best serve those attending.

* Friday, February 23rd: We will be vending at Pump Up The Play! at the SF Citadel, hosted by our very own barista Ashlinn!

* Saturday, February 24th: Join SFBASiL for our next Clean & Sober Munch to send off Mr. Bay Area Sober Leather 2017, Al Rahm, to compete for Mr. San Francisco Leather 2017. You don't have to be clean and sober to join!
