*Sunday, January 28st: The Kinky Spirituality Munch welcomes all spiritual and religious paths and is not based on any particular systems of practice. Each month we have a discussion on the intersection of Spirituality and Kink focusing on a particular topic, this month’s will be “vision.” What is your vision for growth and transformation? How might one use kink to tap into their vision? How might vision guide your kink?
*Tuesday, January 30rd: The Kinky Entrepreneurs Co-Working Hours will be meeting from 1-5pm to provide a space for productive work with like-minded kinksters. Come learn more about BAKBA (Bay Area Kinky Business Alliance) and network with your favorite caffeinated (or decaffeinated) beverage in hand! (You don’t need to be in BAKBA to participate in this event.) In the evening, the Bay Area Rope Club (BARC) will be hosting their weekly Tuesday meetup from 6pm to (approximately) 7:30pm. BARC is a combination of skillshare, presentations, play-time, & social goodness. Arrive promptly to take advantage of the presentation, and/or skillshare, depending on the week!
*Wednesday, January 31th: One of the many benefits to the success of our Patreon (in addition to, y’know, staying open, thanks y’all <3) has been the continued occurrence of the Kinky, Queer Revolution Podcast! Join Mir & Co. from 2-4pm. Interested in Bondage-A-Go-Go: SPORTSBALL!!!, and interested in some comradery? Check out the Pre-BaGG Munch from 8-9:30pm to get acquainted before heading over to Cat Club. The BaGG dress code highly encourages bondage and/or fetish wear (feet, genitals, and nipples must be covered!), but basic blacks will always be appropriate for this sexy event. And remember, if you spend $10 or more on food and drink at the café, you’ll get discounted entry to Cat Club for the night. Be sure to ask your fabulous barista for a BaGG-stamped receipt!
*Thursday, February 1st: Regardless of diagnosis or absence thereof, if you identify as neuro-divergent then the Neuro-Divergence Munch from 4-6pm is for you. The social world is difficult to navigate, let alone the kink scene. Here is a safe place to discuss how your Neuro-Divergence affects the way you do kink. We'll brainstorm negotiation strategies, talk communication in D/S relationships with Neuro-Divergence, and more. The back room will be occupied from 6-8pm for a private event. Be sure to snag a table in the front before then if you’re planning on hanging out tonight!
*Friday, February 2nd: Are you kinky (or interested), FAAB (female assigned at birth) and identify as a trans guy, FTM, trans boy/boi, and/or similar? Come hang out at the FTM Munch in the back room from 7-9pm to socialize and discuss the experiences we have in the kink community. Announcements of upcoming events or resources that are relative to us are welcome.
*Saturday, February 3rd: All munch leaders, both current and future, are highly encouraged to join us for a special Munch Leader Round-Up special event from 2-4pm. Do you host an existing munch at Wicked Grounds (or elsewhere) and want ideas on how to keep the munch strong and fresh in the coming year? Or are you interested in starting a new munch, and want to hear from Mir and other munch leaders how to get it started and running smoothly? Perhaps you just want to rap with other munch leaders and Mir to get inspired for the coming year? Join us for the Munch Leaders Round-Up at Wicked Grounds! We've done this every couple of years, and munch leaders (and prospective leaders) generally walk away feeling enthused, inspired, and ready to take their munch to the next level. Join us!
*Sunday, February 4th: We will be vending at Treat Your Femme, a Femme-centered event hosted at the Queer Collective at 1714 Franklin St. in Oakland from 1-7pm. In Femme-to-the-front collaboration with Qulture Collective, you are invited to indulge your Queer, Femme self, your inner Femme, & the Femmes you love with seductive, healing sessions & magical gifts & goods from Femme practitioners & purveyors. This event is open to Femmes of all genders & the queers who honor & worship Femmes! Stop by and say hello to our Wicked Grounds femme-bassadors, and check out all of the wonderful groups that will be present! Please note that this is a scent-free event, and that the first hour of the event from 1-2pm is reserved for folks with accessibility needs.
