Wicked Grounds first opened our doors September 16th 2009 just in time for the Folsom Street Fair. Over the next few years we became a beloved haven of the kink community of San Francisco and beyond. Frequently a place for munches, demonstrations, meetups and even the occasional porn shoot and garnering support from the community beyond what any of us could have imagined!
Now, in January 2012, after a short hiatus we're back! and better than ever. Ryan is back, along with a new management team including Xin, Dana, Almus, Eric, and Krissy. We are planning a new menu and quite a few other changes. Stay tuned for more information. Wicked Grounds is for everyone who is open-minded enough not to be offended by the erotic and kink nature of our business. We welcome anyone and everyone, so long as they are 18 or over! Wicked Grounds is many things to many people, a cafe, a boutique, an art gallery, a restaurant, a meeting place, a hookup place, an educational experience, and a home. We have friends, family, and customers in every nook and cranny of the scenes we cater too and we are proud to host a rotation of gallery shows from artists in our community. This notice is about the gallery shows we host on the walls at Wicked Grounds. We would like to invite all interested artists to submit portfolios for consideration. Even - and especially - if your work doesn't match what you've seen displayed so far, please contact us. Showcasing a diverse range of art styles and subjects is important to us, and we need your help! The details: Gallery shows usually get displayed for three months at a time. We tend to have a long list of interested artists and schedule quite some time ahead, so if you have any constraints on when you can arrange a show please let us know. Given the size of the venue, most artists tend to need between 12 and 25 art pieces to fill the space for the show (the walls to the right and the left when you enter the cafe as well as the wall too the left at the back of the shop). When you apply to have a show please let us know how you intend to display your work and the sizes and approximate number of pieces you would display. If you are chosen for a show we will work with you to work out the schedule for hanging your art and a date/time when you can host an artist reception if you would like to. The art displayed in the shows is for sale, Wicked grounds will handle the sales for you, and we will work out those details before the show begins. Theme Nights and Regular Events
We have so many exciting events happening, including regularly scheduled game nights, monthly 'bring your human pet' night (the only place in SF to get coffee served in a dog bowl), books signings, thrice weekly chair massage by a fellow kinkster, and plenty of munches. Keep an eye on our calendar to keep up to date with what’s going on! Food and Drink
We are serving amazing, local food and drink, including Graffeo Coffee and Red Blossom Tea Company (see our Suppliers page for more details!). Our decor will be cosy and welcoming, including table tops covered with games to play or designs by local kinksters, and free wifi will be available to all! Toys and Artwork
We also sell toys and artwork the big stores don't sell. We have been lucky enough to get a whole host of amazingly skilled craftspeople and artists supplying us with some incredible products. Since we’re working with lots of different people, our stock will change month on month - you’ll just have to keep coming back in to check what we have! Social Media
